Speaking of Cake?!?

Exciting!!! I found out a while ago while I was looking for my great-great-great-great grandmothers grave here in Logan, my mom and I found out that she was married to at least to other men. So this last Sunday I found out that we have the right to be able to do their family history and temple work if its not already done. Also, that the Logan Tabernacle has excellent records and pictures documented on the first pioneer settlers here in Cache Valley. Sense Grandma Peel was one of the original I maybe able to find a picture of her and more family information!! That may not be so exciting to others, but to me its like eating cake!!!! ~ Aw speaking of cake... My birthday is in 4days. The big 2 6 for me!!! Photobucket

My Testimony

My heart has been full of gratitude to my loving Heavenly Father. I'm so gratefull that I have been raised by goodly parents who have loved me as my father in heaven does. I have been feeling the need to share my testimony. Sense this is where I write my feelings and thoughts you all will be my audiance.....

Throughout my life I have gained a testimony about Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. It was built upon a firm foundation of faith. As my faith in Heavenly Father and Jesus increased so did my yearning to know them better. And I do. I know that Heaven Father is compassionate, loving, peacefull, and kind. He loved us so much that he sent it his Only Begotten son Jesus Christ to earth, that we may know him. I know that our father in heaven weeps over our sarrows, heartaches, and sin. He rejoices with us in happiness and repentance. He is our Eternal father of our Heavenly Spirits and he loves us. Father in Heaven has a plan for us. That is the Plan of Salvation. Jesus Christ loved our Heavenly Father and us so much that he was willing to come to earth and gain a mortal body that he might teach the world of Heavenly Fathers divine plan and purpose. In the New Testment every time when Jesus was praised for his many works he always turned the gorly unto Heavenly Father and praised him. I know that Jesus Christ lived upon this earth to teach us many things. The greatest of those was so that we would know the Granduer of God and his love that he has for us. The Plan of Salvation was laid down by Heavenly Father that through the Atonement of Christ all mankind maybe saved by repentace. Jesus Christ fulfilled the atonement so that through him we may know our Heavenly Father and return to him. I know this to be true. I know that we are all loved by a compassionate Father in heaven. I know that we are guided upon this earth today by a living Prophet Thomas S. Monson. If we follow his teachings and counsel we will blessed. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen.

Breakfast time everyone up...Breakfast!

This yummy breakfast keeps my full for hours. Its amazing how creative you can get with your food. There are many more ways you can alter an oatmeal breakfast. Some vanilla protien powder taste to much like whey. I use Melaleuca's proflex protien. We have never had better protien powder supplements. You can add sugar free vanilla pudding if it taste to much like whey and only use 1/2 scoop of powder.

Protien packed Oatmeal Breakfast
1 c oatmeal
2 c water
1 scoop vanila protien powder
cinnamon
...mix together in a large bowl. Cook in microwave until done.
1 c frozen mixed berries thawed
mix in stevia sweetner in berries and oatmeal. Eat and enjoy!!

This is 445 cals total. You can make smaller amounts

Bye Bye Cows

Say la' vie ladies, thank you for the great memories!

Cows are like old dear friends. Sometimes you love them and sometimes you hate them... They are reliable animals. You can always rely on having to feed this twice a day morning and night. And of course they are ready to yell at you the moment you forget. They provide great suistinance for the family for food and good entertainment when you see Good Ol' cussing at them!!! All in all who would have thought you would miss the cows. Adam grew up working cows with his dad and his brother. He even was sent mulitple photos while deployed to Iraq and Afganistan of them....Now after years and years of having alot of cows around on the farm to take care of, this is not going to be the case anymore. As years go on and kids grow up and leave, well so does the help. Its a large task to be taken on by so few. Of course the cows will be missed. Many memories were made when working cows. Trust me, there is a whole book of sayings written down that were expressed while the family was together, working on those most favored days....However, Some shouldn't be repeated!! So as a final farewell we are heading up yonder to say our goodbyes and work the herd one last time.

You will be turned into a Slug!

Yes, there comes a time in every parents life when your children start noticing the oppostie gender. *huff*.... To my delight this has been a very fun experience. Keplar is in love! (his words not mine) haha
The course of this conversation has been taken place over several days:
"Mom I'm in love!"
"What? with who? Me?"
"No with Madison!"
"I dont' think you're in love but you may like her."
"I think I am....."
Next day at school it was his birthday and I went in to do a spotlight about him. Then after he calls on other classmates and they get to say nice things about him. He choses Madison even though she didn't raised her hand. haha Very cute!
Last Sunday I gave him a haircut. Keplar says "Wow I look handsome. Madison is going to love it!" again I smile at him "you do look handsome." Then as we are going to bed he says
"I wish Madison would talk more."
" She is shy, do you like that she is quite?"
"No she needs to talk."
haha I just laugh and kiss him goodnight.
Monday he came home from school and I asked him how his day went. I get the normal respons, good, and he tells me about what they did. Then I asked him if anyone noticed his haircut?
"No"
"Oh well you still look handsome."
"I know"
Then we get home and are going about the day.
Keplar says "Guess what happened?"
"What?"
"No, no I can't tell you its to embarassing!"
"What?"
"I can't its to embarassing."
"You can tell me anything thats why I'm here."
"Madison asked me to marry her today!"
"haha What? What did you say?"
"Nothing I walked away" hahaha
"Did she really say that or did you wish she did?"
"No she said it."
"I don't think she did. She doesn't talk she is shy."
"I know, she didn't, but I do want to kiss her."
hahaha
"No you don't. If little boys kiss girls they turn into SLUGS!"
"What is a slug?"
"They are slimy, gooey, little things that are tiny and gross."
"Eww I don't want to be a slug."
"Then you better not let her kiss you."
hahaha
Later that night when we were putting Keplar to bed. Adam came in and we were talking about Madison. I told him if she kissed Keplar she would turn him into a slug!
"You dont' want to be turned into a slug snoopies!"
"Did you turn into a slug when mommy kissed you?"
"Yes I did and it wasn't fun."
"Oh, I don't want to be a slug."
"Don't let girls kiss you then."
hahaahahaha
"hmmm yeah I won't".. was Keplar's reply
I know our slug story won't be believed forever. But it was still a good laugh and a learning experience. I giggle just thinking about it. My little boy is growing up. Its fun to remember this time. They don't stay little forever. Even now my 6 year old is growing up and seeing girls in a whole new way.
