She loves flowers and her home is surounded by tons of flowers that I love to see each year. Among all earthly creations flowers have always been my favorite.

~First Day of Kindergarten~

My little boy isn't so little anymore. He has grown up to be a boy and is old enough to go to school. No one has ever been so excited as Keplar was this morning. I don't know how early he woke up I think it was around 6:15 am. But the first thing he said to us was "I'm so EXCITED!" We had breakfast which just wasn't fast enough. Adam, me, Kyly and Keplar loaded up in the car and off to school we went. He remembered everything just perfect from the open house we had the night before. His enthusiasim bubbled over the rest us and we were just as excited as he was. As we were leaving I knew it would be good for him and he was going to have alot of fun making new friends and learning new things. It was really fun to pick him up and hear about his first day. When we got in the car I asked him what he did today? He said "I can't remember." hahaha Then he said "hey mommy guess what? Kindergarten is a piece of cake! That means easy." I just laughed and said "your right it is."

Last night before we went to bed Adam gave him a fathers blessing to help him with the coming school year. He sat so still during it and I saw a huge change in him. No longer was he the little child I knew he is now a boy who is eager for learning.... I have taught him what how to the chose the right and he is ready to put it to the test. My biggest fear of him leaving home and going out in the world is that I won't be able to protect him from satans power and infulences. But I have done that already by teaching him the gospel and how to live righteously as I will continue to do throughout his life.

(Kyly)
While Keplar is at school Kyly has started preschool here at home. This morning we learned the letter A along with the sound. Jessica told me about starfall.com for early learning for preschoolers and it is great. They have everything they need to learn ABC's and reading. We both colored a picture for the letter A. She does have a stubborn streak in her alot like Keplar. So it will be interesting to see how it goes. Kyly loves to learn though and she is pretty excited about it! After we were done with preschool I got to play barbies for 40 mins with her! It was alot of fun.

Kyly's Birthday 8/18/2010

Added September 7, 2010
Great Grandpa and Grandma Stoddard sent these birthday presents to her for her birthday. She loves them especially the horse rain coat. She wore it around for the rest of the day and I couldn't get her to take it off. :) Thanks Great G&G Stoddard for the presents Kyly loves them!!!

Kyly turned 3 years old on Aug. 18th!!! Grandma and Poppy Stoddard surprised her and came all the way down to Logan just for her birthday! She loved it and was excited to see them. They took us out to birthday lunch, her choice of place was McDonalds. We took it over to Willow Park and ate it. Then we went to the Zoo. We had a great time together celebrating Kyly's birthday. Kyly loved all of her presents that she got. She was so excited for her Barbie stuff and her back pack!

Horse Ride July 26th

Adam, Dad, and I went on a horse ride up to the Sandcreek ponds. We took Zeb and Zor, dad's dogs with us. It was pretty rough on them. After traversing all over the side of the mountain and then coming back down they were pretty much completely worn out. We couldn't get them to budge. So we went on with our ride and decided to get them on the way back. Zor by then came looking for us, but Zeb must have been sound a sleep. We called for him and looked around for quite sometime. Eventualy our time was running out and needed to get back.. Dad and mom returned later that evening and they found him down by one of the ponds. He was so happy to see them. It was so great to take time away from everything and ride our horses.

Adam rode his horse Lacey. He started her and trained her last year with dads help. She has turned out to be a good horse for him. Dad rode his horse Black Jack. They are a pair. Dad and mom taught me how to ride when I was just little 2 years old actually. Eventually I found that I had the same talent as dad does at training horses. I got Kid 9 years ago and trained him. He is one of my best friends and I just love him to death. That is who I rode. I am glad that Adam shares the same intrest in horse as I do and loves to ride as much as I do. Its something that we can do together. :)

FAMILY HISTORY

It looks like Alvin use to only have a grave marker and somebody later got him a head stone that they placed behind it. That is the big one up top.

Hannah Peel is buried right next to her daughter on the right side. Anna's headstone is beautiful.
Lately I have been having a huge desire to learn more about my ancestors and do my own family history. Basically I have been thinking about what my posterity will remember me as and what will they read about me. I'm in charge of our Relief Society meeting this week and it is on Family History so I have been studing up alot about mine. As I was doing this I was reading about my great-great-great-great grandmother Hannah Rhodes Peel. Her husband John Peel died on the plains in the Martin Handcart Company. Grandma Peel and her two girls Anna Naomi and Marintha my great-great-great grandma made it the Salt Lake Valley together. While I was reading her Biography I discovered that she and her daughter were buried in Logan UT cemetry.! I was excited to find that sense I live here. So Keplar, Kyly, and I went up to the cemetry today and it took us 2 hours and alot of help from my mom, and the ground workers we FINALLY found it. Grandma Peel doesn't have any gravemarker at all but her daughter Anna Naomi and her husband Alvin Crockett were buried by her. It was sooo great to actually see a piece of living history and ancestors so close to me. WE are going to go back up and put flowers there, it looked like no has been to see their graves in alot of years. :)

Raspberry Jam

Grandma Bagley's raspberries are devine! I'm so glad that she thinks of me and sends some my way. Kyly and I mad freezer Jam with it today. My first batch I did I left a little runny so I can go on our waffels and pancakes easy and the second batch set up much thicker. They are both really yummy. Kyly is a good little helper. Usually Keplar helps too but he was to busy playing the Wii. She was so cute she kept singing a song "maker maker maker" and stirring it I got it on video and it is sooo cute. Its fun to teach her how to do this at a young age. It is good to know how to can and make your perishables last longer. My mom taught me how to do it when I was younger. I actually canned a huge batch of Apple pie filling when I was 14. It felt really good to do that and not have the apples go to waste. And all year long we had yummy apple crips from my apple pie filling. :)
Oh man I was going to post a video of Kyly singing her song but when I went to transfer it to my computer it didn't work! And now I don't even have a copy of it because I deleted it on my card after I transfered it. :( Dang I loved it.
